I write today, to encourage you to visit a blog - 'Soul Surviving', which is written by an incredibly inspiring woman (Lotus), who survived a severe car accident and the death of her husband and friend.
Unfortunately, Lotus writes very infrequently on her blog - and I want to encourage her to write more - she has much to teach us I think - so I write this here in the hope that some of you may visit her site, and if inspired, to ask her to write more, by commenting there?
She shares the experiences she went through - the tragedy, and the sense of self she discovered ... the strength to go on. To read her story was almost soul-changing, and certainly humbling. I read her site with awe at her courage and her amazing strength and spirit.
I only 're-discovered' Lotus' site, by accident when I was checking my 'name' blogspot (a site I don't maintain at the moment) - was this coincidence? You can see her comment there, and an update about how she is going, if interested by left clicking here and clicking on the 'comments'.
Its wonderful to hear that her soul is no longer just 'surviving' but is 'soaring'! - her words inspired me to go on! I was so humbled at her comment on my other site, and the posting she made on her site - just at a time when I need to hear some positive words.
I am going through chemotherapy at the moment, so yuk, and am just re-emerging now I think!
Thus, if you find her story inspiring, if you want to learn more, about how she is doing, please visit her 'Soul Surviving' site.
- so that we may all learn more? I am so grateful to have found her. Let's all encourage her to write more, to share, to teach, and to place our lives into perspective - there are so many good and wonderful people out there :)
I will be back soon with some free Goodies when hopefully feeling a little better from this chemotherapy - yuk again!
And alway remember to be Kind With Yourself :-)

Hello Dr. McCarthy,
A little reciprocity 4 U! 2 Cor. 1:4
(God) who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. Hang in there Doc! 1 aka DP

@d.p. Thank you for your comment and wise words from the wisest of All :-) You understand, and you give with comfort! I shall have a look at your site soon.
Hanging in there!
Meg
Hi Meg,
It's Lotus. I feel so undeserving of your generous comments about “Soul Surviving”. I wrote it to share the wonderful news (at least it was news to me) that we are not alone in our suffering. We are surrounded by loving spirits ready to shield us from experiencing the otherwise unendurable. It was that help, not my courage, that was responsible for getting me through the initial tragedy and the inevitable ups and downs that followed. I still sense their support, especially at the down times. Your help to bring that message to more people is most appreciated. Also thank you for bringing your site to my attention. Despite the tragic health problems you have endured, you managed to put together an impressive site offering a wealth of material to help others in distress. The least I can do is continue with “Soul Surviving”. I have already submitted a transitional post, and am working on another. I’ll keep in touch.
Lotus
P.S. No I don’t believe in coincidences, only synchronicities.
